Payton Lima, PT, DPT, MDNC

Physical Therapist – Yarmouth

Payton brings energy, experience, and a movement-based approach to the Reform Physical Therapy team. Because of her background as a dancer, gymnast, and elite-level cheerleader, she understands firsthand how important it is to care for the body—before and after injury.

That background has inspired her passion for treating athletes of all kinds, especially those in dance, gymnastics, cheer, and skiing.

Originally from New England, Payton earned her Bachelor of Science in Allied Health from the University of Tampa in 2019, where she also competed at the Division II collegiate level in cheerleading. Shortly after, she completed her Doctor of Physical Therapy at MGH Institute of Health Professions in May 2022. Her academic and athletic paths have shaped a well-rounded and empathetic approach to care—meeting patients exactly where they are.

While Payton has a particular passion for helping athletes recover and prevent injury, she enjoys working with people of all backgrounds, sports, and ages. Whether she’s helping a competitive skier return to the slopes or guiding a weekend hiker through rehab, Payton focuses on building strong relationships and providing top-tier, evidence-based care. Her sessions are often active—she’s even known to exercise right alongside her patients to encourage, demonstrate, and connect.

Outside the clinic, Payton embraces the Maine lifestyle. She enjoys hiking with her dog, riding her Peloton, skiing at Sugarloaf, and relaxing at Lake Winnipesaukee. When she’s not on the move, you’ll likely find her in the kitchen, whipping up homemade meals for family and friends.

Through every step of the recovery journey, Payton brings positivity, dedication, and a deep understanding of athletic movement to help patients heal—and return stronger than ever.
