Alison Newell, PT, DPT

Physical Therapist – Kennebunk
Meet Ali, PT in Southern Maine
Ali, PT Southern Maine, is a dedicated physical therapist with a strong belief in the power of prevention, education, and core stability. She was born in New Hampshire but has spent most of her adult life in Maine—aside from a few years living in rural Pennsylvania.
Ali earned her Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Studies with a minor in Psychology from University of New England in 2014. She went on to complete her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from UNE in 2017. Since then, she has focused primarily on outpatient orthopedic care.
Special Interests and Clinical Focus
Ali works with a wide range of patients—from young athletes to older adults with balance and mobility challenges. In every case, she emphasizes posture, alignment, and core strength as key components of long-term wellness.
In addition, she prioritizes preventive care and patient education. Her goal is to give people the tools they need to stay active and confident in their daily lives. Whether a patient is recovering from injury or working to improve function, Ali takes a thoughtful, personalized approach.
Life Outside the Clinic
When she’s not working, Ali enjoys spending time with her family. You’ll often find her gardening, cooking something new, or soaking up every bit of beach time she can get—especially during Maine’s warmer months.
With a calm presence and a focus on alignment and empowerment, Ali is here to help you move better and feel more confident in your everyday life.
