Shellie

Physical Therapy Supervisor – Eliot

Meet Shellie, PT in Southern Maine

Shellie is an experienced and compassionate physical therapist who joined Reform Physical Therapy in 2022. She earned both her Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation Science and Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Northeastern University in Boston. For more than 15 years, Shellie has delivered care in a variety of clinical settings. However, her true passion lies in outpatient rehab—where she can guide patients back to the life they love.

Therapy Style and Continued Learning

As an active person herself, Shellie understands how frustrating it is to sit out from activities you love. Because of this, she brings empathy and effectiveness to her work. She has completed extensive continuing education focused on targeted manual techniques that reduce pain, restore mobility, and improve pelvic alignment.

In addition, Shellie has studied advanced therapeutic exercise progressions that challenge every type of patient—from beginners to elite athletes. Whether she’s treating a post-surgical patient or someone managing daily aches, she adapts every session to the individual in front of her.

Patient-Centered Philosophy

Shellie also understands that life is busy. That’s why she helps patients streamline their care and prioritize what matters most. She listens carefully and considers the bigger picture—injury history, lifestyle, and goals. Furthermore, she enjoys collaborating with referring providers to create holistic care plans that support long-term progress.

Most importantly, Shellie values the one-on-one time she shares with each patient. She takes the time to listen, educate, and empower them—every step of the way.

Outside the Clinic

When she’s not working, Shellie enjoys being outside and making the most of Maine’s seasons. She stays active, connected to family, and energized by nature—which mirrors the positive energy she brings into the clinic each day.

With clinical expertise, warmth, and a whole-person approach, Shellie helps patients return to movement with confidence and clarity.

Patient Review:

I’ve been going to Reform Therapy for a few weeks and have always been met with kindness and smiles from the moment I walk in. Kelly makes the payment end and scheduling so easy and Shellie has made my body feel so much stronger. Each time, I leave feeling so much better than when I entered and my progress throughout this past month has made my life filled with so much less pain. I highly recommend!
