Alex True, PT, DPT

Physical Therapist – Freeport

Meet Alex, PT in Freeport, Maine
Alex joined the Reform Physical Therapy team in 2023 after officially passing his Physical Therapy boards. Born and raised in Maine, Alex has always stayed close to his roots. He grew up in Sidney, where he spent his high school years running track and playing soccer. That love of movement inspired his decision to pursue physical therapy.
Education and Early Career
Alex earned both his Bachelor’s in Exercise Science and his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Husson University. Interestingly, had PT school not worked out, he had a backup plan: sports analysis. Fortunately, his intuition was right—physical therapy proved to be the perfect path. His academic achievements speak volumes about his dedication and aptitude.
Before graduation, Alex completed internships at Reform’s Topsham and Freeport clinics. During that time, he treated beginner and experienced athletes, post-surgical patients, and those dealing with everyday pain. He quickly embraced Reform’s balance of professionalism and laid-back culture—so much so that he accepted a full-time offer without hesitation.
Approach to Patient Care
Alex values individualized care and hands-on learning. Through observation and direct interaction, he developed his skills in manual therapy and patient education. He takes pride in meeting people where they are, helping each one feel seen, understood, and supported.
Life Outside the Clinic
When he’s not treating patients, you’ll probably find Alex catching a Celtics game, exploring local foodie spots, or skiing during Maine’s snowy season. His love of sports, movement, and community mirrors the energy he brings to the clinic every day.
With a passion for people and progress, Alex is ready to help his patients move better, feel stronger, and enjoy life to the fullest.
