Conditions We Treat at Our South Portland Clinic

Pain and movement challenges don’t look the same for everyone — and neither should treatment. At Reform Physical Therapy in South Portland, we treat a wide range of conditions with care that’s tailored to your body, your history, and your goals. Whether symptoms started suddenly or have been building over time, our team is here to help you move forward with confidence.

Our South Portland physical therapists commonly help patients with:

  • Neck and back pain
  • Shoulder, hip, and knee pain
  • Sports and overuse injuries
  • Post-surgical rehabilitation
  • Arthritis and joint stiffness
  • Balance issues and fall prevention
  • Work-related and repetitive strain injuries

Expanding Pelvic Health & Specialized Care

We’re excited to be expanding our South Portland services to include pelvic health physical therapy in the near future with the addition of Mackenzie Foley to our team.

Mackenzie brings advanced training in:

  • Pelvic health and pelvic floor rehabilitation
  • Neuro rehabilitation and gait retraining
  • Vestibular and balance therapy
  • Core stability and functional movement

This expanded skillset will allow us to support patients dealing with pelvic pain, postpartum or pregnancy-related concerns, balance challenges, and conditions where the nervous system and movement patterns play a key role in recovery.

As always, care at Reform is thoughtful, individualized, and focused on helping patients feel safe, supported, and confident throughout their healing process.

Care at Reform goes beyond exercises alone. We use a combination of hands-on techniques, movement analysis, and specialized therapies to support meaningful, long-term recovery.

Treatment Services Include:

  • Manual Therapy – Conveniently located near the Maine Mall, our South Portland clinic offers hands-on manual therapy designed to reduce pain, improve mobility, and support your active lifestyle — from long workdays to weekend hikes. Our therapists use targeted techniques to help you move more comfortably and confidently.
  • Cupping Therapy – Located near Portland’s vibrant arts and retail scene, our South Portland team offers cupping therapy to help relieve muscle tension, improve circulation, and restore movement — especially helpful for patients who spend long hours on their feet.
  • Dry Needling – Dry needling in South Portland is an effective way to release deep muscle tension caused by repetitive strain or lingering injuries. Whether you’re lifting at the gym or managing physically demanding workdays, this treatment can help reduce pain and improve function.
  • Vertigo & Balance Therapy– Dizziness, vertigo, or feeling unsteady can be unsettling and disruptive to everyday life. Our South Portland physical therapists provide vestibular and balance therapy to help reduce dizziness, improve stability, and restore confidence with movement. Whether symptoms came on suddenly or have been lingering, we’ll help you feel grounded and steady again.
  • Concussion Rehabilitation-Recovering from a concussion can feel frustrating — especially when symptoms linger longer than expected. Concussion rehabilitation in South Portland focuses on safely addressing dizziness, headaches, balance challenges, visual disturbances, and sensitivity to movement. Our team works at your pace to help your nervous system recover so you can return to work, school, sports, and daily life with confidence.
  • Running Assessments – Running assessments in South Portland help identify movement patterns that may be contributing to pain or injury. Whether you train on the Greenbelt or around town, we’ll help fine-tune your form so you can run with more efficiency and confidence.
