Meet Mackenzie, PT in Southern Maine

Mackenzie brings a well-rounded, compassionate approach to her role at Reform Physical Therapy. A proud New England native, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Saint Joseph’s College in Standish, ME. She later completed her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at the University of New England in Portland.

During undergrad, Mackenzie was a dedicated athlete. She played lacrosse and served as the captain of the cross-country team. Because of this athletic background, she developed a deep appreciation for movement, mindset, and motivation—core elements that shape her approach to patient care.

Clinical Philosophy and Areas of Interest

Mackenzie believes in treating the whole person, not just the injury. She’s passionate about evidence-based care rooted in the bio-psycho-social model. In particular, she focuses on exercise psychology and the emotional aspects of recovery. She understands that rehabilitation is both a physical and mental process, and she strives to support patients through both.

Her clinical interests include balance training, neuro-recovery, and helping individuals reconnect with movement in meaningful ways. Whether she’s working with a competitive athlete or an older adult, Mackenzie tailors her care to each person’s needs, goals, and lifestyle.

Life Outside the Clinic

Outside of work, Mackenzie loves spending time outdoors. You’ll often find her camping, hiking, or paddleboarding when the weather is warm. She also enjoys long walks with dogs, baking sweet treats, and crafting with friends and family. Her calming energy and love for people shine through in every aspect of her life and care.
