Physical Therapist – Topsham

Meet Heather – Physical Therapist in South Portland with a Heart for Healing
Heather, Physical Therapist in Topsham, is a dedicated and compassionate clinician committed to personalized, one-on-one patient care. Originally from Massachusetts, she’s always felt connected to Maine, where she spent countless childhood summers visiting family. That early bond with the state has now grown into a full-time calling to help Mainers move better and live stronger lives.
From Gymnastics to Physical Therapy
Heather’s 12-year background as a competitive gymnast sparked a lifelong love of movement and fitness. In fact, she still hopes to be doing back handsprings for years to come! Her athletic roots continue to influence her approach to care—blending discipline, precision, and empathy in every session.
Academic Excellence and Clinical Experience
Heather graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Husson University in 2022, then earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2024. During her graduate training, she gained hands-on experience at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, along with two outpatient orthopedic clinics across New England.
These clinical internships exposed her to a wide range of patients and allowed her to refine her manual therapy and orthopedic treatment skills. As a result, Heather is well-prepared to help patients recover from injuries, improve mobility, and regain their independence.
Making an Impact at Reform Physical Therapy
After passing her PT board exam in 2024, Heather officially joined the Reform Physical Therapy team. She thrives in the outpatient setting, where she can make a meaningful difference in each patient’s journey.
Heather is especially proud to work at a clinic that emphasizes one-on-one care and truly values patient relationships. She’s passionate about helping individuals achieve their health and wellness goals through movement, education, and encouragement.
Life Beyond the Clinic
When she’s not with patients, Heather enjoys lifting weights at the gym, experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, and spending time with her family and friends. Whether she’s helping someone get back on their feet—or flipping into a handspring herself—Heather brings energy, enthusiasm, and a heart for healing to everything she does.
